Terms and conditions

Version TC2601Last updated:

These terms govern the use of Rentisure in the app, the portal and this website. You accept them when you create your account. Please read them carefully: they explain how the service works and what is expected of each side.

1. Who provides the service

  • Owner: [Nombre y apellidos o razón social del titular]
  • Tax ID: [NIF / CIF]
  • Address: [Domicilio completo, código postal, ciudad]
  • Email: [correo de contacto, p. ej. privacidad@rentisure.com]

2. What Rentisure is

Rentisure is a service that connects people looking for a rental home (“applicants”) with owners or people who list on their behalf (“representatives”). Applicants introduce themselves with a video; owners describe their home with photos and features. The service suggests matches and only puts the two sides in touch once both accept.

The service is free. If we ever introduce paid features, we will tell you in advance and they will only apply if you expressly accept them.

3. Acceptance and versions

When you create your account you tick the box “I confirm that I am at least 18 years old and agree to the Terms and Conditions”. If you sign in with Google or Apple for the first time, we ask you before you continue. We record which version you accepted, with the date and time.

Each version of these terms has a code (this one’s is shown under the title). If we change them in a significant way we will let you know in advance and, where needed, ask you to accept the new version to keep using the service.

4. Your account

  • Rentisure is only for people aged 18 or over.
  • One account per person, with truthful details. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for what is done with your account.
  • The same account can look for a home and offer homes at the same time. An applicant has a single application; an owner can list several homes.
  • You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

5. How it works: drafts, activation and the double yes

  • You can save your application or homes as drafts even if details are missing. To activate them they must be complete and you must accept the corresponding declaration. If you change anything in an active application or home, it is switched off until you activate it again.
  • With active applications and homes, the service automatically works out matches based on area, features, rental type, budget and price.
  • The owner (or their representative) sees the application first and decides whether to accept it. Only then does the applicant see the home and decide whether to accept it.
  • If you both accept, we send each of you an introduction email with the other’s email address, so you can contact each other directly. Before that, no contact details are shared.

6. Budget and price

The applicant’s budget and the price entered by the owner are only used to work out matches. They are never shown to the other side or to anyone else, and Rentisure does not suggest prices.

Rentisure does not set, recommend or validate rents, and does not check whether the price respects any legal rent limits that may apply. The person listing the home is solely responsible for making sure the price they agree complies with the law.

7. If you list a home

When you activate a home you confirm that you are authorised to list it, that its information and photos are accurate, that the listing complies with applicable laws and that you authorise its presentation to matching applicants. In particular:

  • The information must be accurate and up to date: type, floor, bedrooms, bathrooms, usable floor area, area and rental type (residential, temporary or holiday).
  • You must state the home’s energy rating, except in legally exempt cases. Choosing “Exempt” is only correct if the home really is exempt.
  • If you offer temporary or holiday rentals, you are responsible for holding any licences, registrations or permits your region or town requires.
  • Only upload photos you have the right to use. Avoid showing people, documents or third-party personal data.
  • Describe the home objectively.

8. If you list on behalf of third parties

To list homes on behalf of someone else (for example, as an agency or property manager) you must complete and activate your representative profile: legal name, tax ID (NIF) and, if applicable, professional registration number and issuing authority, and confirm that the information is accurate and that you comply with all legal requirements applicable to your professional activity.

By doing so you guarantee that the owner has instructed you to offer the home and to share its photos and details. We may ask you to prove it, and switch off your profile or your homes if you do not or if the details are wrong.

9. If you are looking for a home

Your application and your video must be your own and truthful. When you activate it you authorise it to be shared with matching owners or their representatives, except the budget. Avoid including your budget, phone number, email address or other contact details, sensitive information or third-party personal data in your video or description: everything you include will be visible to those who receive your application.

10. Prohibited content and conduct

  • Discriminating against anyone on grounds of origin, race or ethnicity, nationality, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, disability, age, family situation or any other personal or social circumstance, whether in homes, in applications or in later dealings.
  • Violent, threatening, harassing, offensive or sexual content.
  • Other people’s personal data without their permission, including images of other people.
  • Homes that do not exist, are misleading or that you are not authorised to offer; impersonating someone else.
  • Content that infringes intellectual property or image rights.
  • Asking for payments or deposits before a viewing and before signing a contract, or using Rentisure for anything other than renting a home.
  • Downloading, recording or distributing other people’s videos and photos, collecting data about other users or trying to get around the service’s security.

11. Reports and blocking

You can report any user, application, home or match you can see with the “Report” button, choosing a reason (discrimination or violence) and adding a short description of up to 300 characters. The person reported is not told who reported them. For other unlawful content, write to [correo de contacto, p. ej. privacidad@rentisure.com].

Our team reviews every report and may contact the parties. If someone breaks these terms we may block their account, an application, a home or a match: what is blocked disappears for the other side, and a blocked account cannot create or edit content. In serious cases we may close the account and, where appropriate, inform the authorities.

12. Your videos and photos

Your videos, photos and texts remain yours. You grant us a free, non-exclusive licence limited to what is needed to provide the service: storing them and showing them to matching people under the double-yes rule, while your content is published and for the retention periods below.

Videos and photos are private: they are not public, do not appear in search engines and are only shown, through temporary links, to people who are authorised. If you replace or delete a video or photo that was part of a match, we keep a private copy linked to that match: 60 days from the last event if the match still has no final answer, 30 days if either side rejected it and 90 days from the introduction email. If the match has been reported, the copy is not deleted automatically. More details in the Privacy Policy.

13. What Rentisure does not do

  • It does not guarantee that you will receive matches or that a rental will be signed.
  • It is not a party to any contract between owners, representatives and applicants, and does not take part in its negotiation, signature, payment or performance.
  • It does not check users’ identity or solvency, ownership of the homes, their licences or whether the price respects legal rent limits. Do your own checks before signing or paying anything.

14. Liability

Each user is responsible for the information and content they publish and for their agreements with other users. We do our best to keep the service available and secure, but there may be interruptions, errors or maintenance. To the extent permitted by law, Rentisure is not liable for damage arising from users’ content or conduct or from interruptions of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law or your rights as a consumer.

15. Suspension and closing your account

You can stop using Rentisure and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law.

16. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, the courts of your place of residence have jurisdiction.

17. Contact

For any question about these terms, write to [correo de contacto, p. ej. privacidad@rentisure.com].
